Inner Circle

Original line-up included Stephen 'Cat' Coore on guitar, keyboardist Michael 'Ibo' Cooper and the Lewis brothers Ian (bass) and Roger (guitar). Played on Eric Donaldson's 1971 Festival Song winner Cherry Oh Baby and went on to win a Grammy Award in 1994 for their Bad Boys album.

Now Generation

Was the house band at Federal Studio in the 1970s. Line-up included guitarist Mikey Chung, bassist Val Douglas, keyboardists Earl 'Wire' Lindo and Robbie Lyn and drummer Mikey 'Boo' Richards. 'Now Gen' is best remembered for playing on singer Ernie Smith's many hit songs including Duppy Gunman and Pitta Patta and the Lorna Bennett 'bubbler', Breakfast in Bed.

Soul Syndicate

A crack unit that played on The Wailers' Sun is Shining and Duppy Conqueror for producer Lee 'Scratch' Perry. The 'Syndicate', which included drummer Carlton 'Santa' Davis, guitarists Tony Chin and Earl 'Chinna' Smith and bass player George Fullwood, hit its stride in the 1970s, recording hit songs by Dennis Brown (Cassandra, Westbound Train) and the enduring Stalag beat.

Lloyd parkes

With bass player Lloyd Parkes at the helm, this unit is one of the few survivors of the glory days of the Jamaican band. Dennis Brown's backing band for years, they also recorded hit songs including Officially and Reservations For Two.

The Fabulous Five

Alive and kicking after 30-odd years, Frankie Campbell and Grub Cooper are leaders of this evergreen aggregation, which backed singer Johnny Nash on his hit song More Questions Than Answers. Has had several hit songs over the years, such as Somewhere in My Life, Yuh Safe and Feeling Horny.
