Performer of the week: Scoring Shelton
published: Saturday | June 21, 2008

Luton Shelton ... struck five times for Jamaica against The Bahamas. - File

NATIONAL STRIKER Luton Shelton was the star of the show for Jamaica following their 13-0 aggregate victory over The Bahamas in their first-round World Cup qualifiers.

The Sheffield United marksman scored five goals in the qualifiers.

In the opening game at the National Stadium last Sunday, Shelton scored a brace in the Reggae Boyz' 7-0 victory over the Bahamians. He then followed that up with a hat-trick in their 6-0 win in the return game at the Trelawny Multi-purpose Stadium three days later.
