As a practitioner of human resource development, I will concede that casino gambling could be acceptable, if and only if the revenue earned by the Government from licences is used for education.
The primary concern of the Church and other well-meaning Jamaicans is that crime will increase and good morals decline. If, however,the lions share of revenue from gaming licences is used to educate our primary and secondary level youth about the travesty of high-risk, while at the same time preparing them for a modern, globally competitive world, casinos could provide much needed cash to care.
