LEADERS ST. Catherine Saints maintained their rich vein of form in this season's Jamaica Super League cricket competition when they secured first innings points over Trelawny Buccaneers at Chedwin Park yesterday.
After dismissing the Buccaneers for 165. The Saints were 230 for three when bad light stopped play. Junior Francis was unbeaten on 94. Francis received solid support from Denzil Hyatt (56) and Keith Hibbert (50).
Earlier, when the Buccaneers batted, Barbadian Floyd Reifer top scored with 82, while Gavin Wallace claimed 4-17 and national representative Odean Brown 3-31.
At Melbourne Oval: Australia-born Brandon Nash (89 not out) and Kemar Roach (76 not out) lifted the Kingston Tigers to first innings points over the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) Brigades.
At the close, the Tigers reached 271-8 replying to the Brigades' 183 all out.
Jermaine Edwards (51), Barriston Reid (34) and Kamal Dennis (25) scored the bulk of the runs for the JDF. Kerry Scott (5-53) and ex-West Indies spinner Nehemiah Perry (4-44) claimed the most wickets for the Tigers.

At Kirkvine: Westmoreland Wizards, replying to Manchester Lions' 189 all out, reached 6-1 when bad light stopped play.
Matthew Sinclair (37), Gary Graham (35) and Donavan Sinclair (33) scored the bulk of the runs for the Lions. Evan McInnis with 3-46 and Jomo Thompson (2-28) were the pick of the visitors' bowlers.
At Alpart: Melbourne Kangaroos and St. Elizabeth Sharks were locked in a keen battle for first innings points. Replying to Melbourne's 240 all out, the Sharks were 91-2 at stumps.
Carlton Baugh (88) and Donovan Pagon (57) scored the most runs for the Kangaroos.
West Indies pacer Jerome Taylor (5-27) and Wayne Simpson (3-76) led the Sharks' attack.
