Credits

Had small part in first Bond film, 1962's Dr No, starring Sean Connery. He played Mr Jones. Also starred as Busha in 1991's The Lunatic. Won new generation of fans for his role as Ted Blackburn, patriarch of the Blackburn family on Royal Palm Estate.

Extras

Wife, Sheila Carter (formerly Hill), is also a respected actor.

Carter was a respected journalist who was the first on-air announcer at the Jamaica Broadcasting Corporation in 1959.

Was a director/partner in advertising firm, PKC Advertising Limited. Also founding director of CGR Communications.

Reggie Carter died in his sleep in September 1995.

Claim to fame:

Leading man of Jamaican theatre. Also a founding father of Jamaican advertising.
