THE EDITOR, Sir:It was good to see the return of a theatre critic to your newspaper - Mr Michael Reckord's account of the splendid NDTC Easter Sunday "morning of movement and music". It was as he says, full of "signs and wonders".
I have been attending for many years and this one was easily one of the finest if not the best in recent years. I was deeply moved by the spirituality of the overall production under the usual skilful direction of the good professor, duly aided and abetted not only by his colleague choreographers (Bert Rose, Clive Thompson and budding Kevin Moore and Marlon Simms), but also by his creative technicians and, of course, the musical director, Marjorie Whylie.
Improvement
The NDTC Singers have undoubtedly improved, especially in their joyful robust pieces and they made the morning even more delightful, bringing it to a close with Noel Dexter's infectious Psalm 150.
But what struck me forcibly, was the showcasing of such individual talents as Carl Bliss (not as dancer as your article mistakenly captioned a photograph) but as solo singer of the spiritual Were You There.
I am, etc.,
