St CATHERINE players and coaches were rewarded for their hard work at the St Catherine Football Association's Business House presentation ceremony at Arian's Restaurant in Spanish Town, recently.

Windalco took the league title while Lasco Distributors captured the knockout crown.

Windalco also took home three individual awards in Best Goalkeeper, Best Defender (Dane Senior), and Leading Goalscorer, Damion Roach, while Lasco's Ricardo Lewis copped the Best Midfielder award.

Apart from the Business House awards, the function also catered to the Under-17 League's best players and coaches. Barrington Rose of Jamaica Money Market Brokers, whose company contributed $100,000 towards the league, was on hand to give out some of the awards.

Police FC got the most awards in the Under-17 category, including Best Goalkeeper (Jovani Johnson), Best Defender (Adrian Campbell), and Leading Goalscorer and most Valuable Player (André McFarlane).

Old Harbour United's Odion Powell was rewarded for being the league's Best Midfielder.

There was a special award given to the Watson Grove Under-17 team, which won the Champions of Champions trophy after defeating Police 1-0 in a one-off encounter. The award was received by their coach, Paul Fort.

Meanwhile, 33 coaches were given certificates for successfully completing a level I coaching course put on by the St Catherine FA.
