Story of the lost boys
published: Saturday | March 1, 2008

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I am writing a book about five Jamaica College students who were lost for over two weeks in the Blue Mountains during the month of April 1939. The group was led by Douglas Hall, who was subsequently a professor at the University of the West Indies.

The others were William Soutar, John Ennever, Eric Gray and Teddy Hastings, and I am trying to find more information about them. For example, who were their parents and what were their occupations.

I have heard they all migrated after leaving Jamaica College.

I would appreciate it if any of your readers could provide me with this or any other information about them.

I am, etc.,

HARTLEY NEITA
