Gwen Stefani says trying to get pregnant was "a lot of fun".

The Wind It Up singer - who already has a 21-month-old son, Kingston, with husband Gavin Rossdale - is currently expecting her second child, and revealed the couple enjoyed the conception process.

She said: "It was really a lot of fun trying to get pregnant!"

Gwen also spoke about being a mother, and how having Kingston - who was recently voted the trendiest child in Hollywood - changed her life.

She added to V magazine: "I'm going to start crying when I talk about this because it''s just so intense. I put him to sleep at night and, you know, I'll be rocking him to sleep and he'll be playing with my hair and it's just the most amazing feeling in the world."

The 38-year-old beauty recently revealed Kingston loves loud music and has already learnt how to head bang like his rocker father.

She said: "He sings a lot to himself. He is just getting into music. He does the whole head-bouncing thing. I love him so much. He is the best thing that's ever happened to me."
