She is regarded throughout the legal fraternity as a battle-axe. This formidable lawyer is also affectionately referred to, as - 'the big gun; and after 25 years in the business, this, my dears, is a reputation well earned by Jennifer Messado, of Jennifer Messado and Company, on Holborn Road, in New Kingston.

She is the preferred legal representative in matters of real estate conveyance. Her client list is the who's who of the construction and real estate industries.

To celebrate the anniversary, on Saturday, February 16, Mrs Messado threw a shindig that was truly marvellous!

Luvs, with the fabulous Laughing Waters retreat in Ocho Rios, y'all know we are talking a fabulous family-styled outing, with guests motoring in from every corner of the island. They were joined by a number of international personalities who jetted in for the to-do.

Those with children came prepared to frolic on the beach. Then there was the other party - a fabulous garden-type affair, with marquees all housing oversized stuffed lounge furniture. The ladies were dressed in fabulous summer ensembles; the men, in a mix of Bermudan-styled shorts and Hawaiian-styled shirts.

The gracious host was lauded for her commitment and dedication to the cause of her staff and clients; and in turn she thanked those who have stood with her over the years on her professional journey. And then to the delight of those in attendance, she presented her husband Geoff, with a long-service award, for his commitment and support over the years, and luvs, it made for a marvellously touching moment.

Among those out, were Sufragan Bishop of Kingston Robert Thompson, who invoked celestial blessings on the official proceedings, and his wife, Charmaine. Also out were Churchill and Angela Neita; Gordon Tewani; Wayne Chen and wife, Dr Diana Thorburn Chen; Ronnie Barakatt and his sister, Beverly, and family friend, Monique Van Spankeren; Pat Small; David and Ellie Rickham; Minna Israel; David DeLisser; the lovely Judith Douglas; Carlyle and Diane Hudson; Karen FitzRitson; Ronnie Coke and wife Ethlyn Norton-Coke; Clarence and Norma Clarke; Eleanor Jones; Anthony and Jeannie Bell; Tony and Yvonne Ray.
