Hailing Mayor Sinclair II
published: Saturday | January 5, 2008

The Editor, Sir:

On behalf of the many Montegonians and the citizenry across western Jamaica, I write this letter to congratulate the new Mayor of Montego Bay, Mr Charles Sinclair Jr.

The first citizen will have to be exemplary in the governance of the St. James Parish Council if he is to emulate his father who, in the same capacity, had placed an indelible mark on the Second City during his time.

The people in the Friendly City are crying out for efficient city management and a man of his calibre should be able to deliver the goods. From careful observation, it seems that the new mayor is one with a vision who will help to transform the municipality to another level.

Therefore, I do hope that his tenure as mayor of Montego Bay will be a fruitful one.

I am, etc.,
