FRIENDCAM
published: Saturday | January 5, 2008

From left: Saudika Diaram, Oniel Miller, and Shernette Byrd, have been friends for more than five years.

Good friends are hard to find, and it's often said that the friends you meet after high school that remain your friends for life.

FriendCam went out and found this trio of friends who are hoping their friendship will last for years to come.

Shernette Byrd (SB), 22, a journalist, Oniel Miller (OM), 23, an accountant and Saudika Diaram (SD), 23, a production assistant, met somewhere between attending the Montego Bay Community College and attending the University of the West Indies.

How long have you been friends?

SB: We have been friends for over five years.

SD: It feels like forever!

What makes you good friends?

SB: We make each other very comfortable.

SD: Shernette helps to keep me grounded and takes me out of my shell.

OM: They make me feel wanted.

Can you recall a time when you had to be strong for each other?

All three responded: Every day!

SD: Once my luggage was stolen and Shernette shared all her items of clothing with me.
