NSWMA's rotten job
published: Thursday | December 6, 2007

THE EDITOR, Sir:

AS CHAIRMAN of Winchester Court apartments on Winchester Road, St. Andrew, I wish to express my extreme disgust at the service of the National Solid Waste Management Authority (NSWMA) in collecting our garbage on a regular basis.

For a year now, I have to be constantly calling the offices of NSWMA on Half-Way Tree Road to get any results in terms of collection. It is supposed to be collected two times every week; it is collected once every two to three weeks and that's only with my calling them, repeatedly. It is extremely unhygienic and the smells emitted are really offensive.

I wrote a letter months ago to the manager in charge expressing our distress but, alas, with no response and certainly no improvement in service. I do hope this letter will yield some results, but it is certainly a rotten job being done.

I am, etc.,

CHRIS INGLEDEW

Chairman
