Montego Bay scam investigation in US
The local police are poised to open a new front in their war against the illicit Montego Bay 'lotto scam', as, come next week, a team of investigators will be travelling to the United States (U.S.) on an intelligence/evidence-gathering mission.

Jamaican gets US presidential award for excellence

Jamaican-born Jonathan Earle, associate dean of student affairs at the University of Florida College of Engineering, has received the Presidential Award for excellence in science, mathematics and engineer mentoring.

Playing 'bawl' in the House

One of my favourite poets, Felicia Dorothea Hemans, advised in one of her works: "Talk not of grief 'til you hast seen the tears of warlike men." Unhappily, young Kern Spencer cannot be numbered among the weeping warriors of yore, or even some of those of modern times.
