Boosting family
published: Monday | November 12, 2007

The Editor, Sir:

The Message published in a recent issue of The Gleaner, captioned "Bring back the family, bring back the society" conveyed the encouraging conviction on the way forward expressed by Mr. Sameer Younis, chairman of the Jamaica Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Younis has supported the views which concerned persons, including myself, have shared through the print media and elsewhere. I sincerely hope that the influence of the Jamaica Chamber of Commerce will arouse wide public recognition of the irreplaceable elements of responsible parenting and stable family life.

Acceptance of this deficiency within our society ought to give rise to an organised and sustained assault directed at rescuing Jamaica.

Congratulations to Mr. Younis are in order and may I extend best wishes for a successful 'Magic in the Moonlight' even for the benefit of a worthy cause.

I am, etc.,
