It's here again when the Caribbean's best newspaper (also known as The Gleaner), in association with Jamaica's premier event planner, SSCO (otherwise known as Stephanie Scott), brings you a week of gastronomic delights (also called Kingston Restaurant Week).

What a combination!

Check out New Kingston's club scene afterwards, and if you are having a special occasion, call the Lifestyle team at 922-3400 or email us: lifestyle@gleanerjm.com and make our Special Something Extra pages all week long.

Here are highlights of events leading up to last night's kick-off.

On Wednesday night, Gleaner management and board members fêted special guests and clients to kick off Kingston Restaurant Week. We caught two of the people who make it happen, corporate affairs manager Karin Cooper (left) and SSCO's Stephanie Scott. -Colin Hamilton/Freelance Photographer

It's a Wednesday night and things are getting busy at Habibi Latino, one of 32 participating restaurants in this year's Gleaner-sponsored Kingston Restaurant Week. Smartly clad waitress Desrene Kelly takes the order of Mrs. Verla Seymour, Morin Seymour and Mrs. Lisa Johnston, while her husband slips away to take an important phone call.
