NOTE-WORTHY: Treat them harshly
published: Thursday | November 1, 2007

Treat them harshly

Any Jamaican who is deported to Jamaica after serving time here in the U.S., or any other country, for felony murder, rape, etc., should be incarcerated for another period of time.

Jurisdiction irrelevant - you have to take control of this beautiful country. Tourism is one of the country's resources. These natural-born criminals should not be placed back in society - among good Jamaican people.

It might seem harsh but murderers and rapists must be locked up for lengthy periods of time. It is obvious that most of the shootings and killings are being done by these deportees who have no value for life.

Another problem I find with black people both here and in the United States is that as soon as their family member gets shot and killed by police for engaging in criminal activities, suddenly that person is good and the police are bad. Police officers have a job to do, and that is to get rid of criminals.

JPs complain

JPs should stop complaining and do their jobs, or, charge a fee for every stamp and that will cover their problem.

Crime study

Regarding the frightening crime and violence rates and the efforts of several groups to address or study the situation, it might be useful to have a look at the methods of New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani in the days when he reportedly "cleaned up the streets of New York".

I do not know whether the root causes of the violence were the same as they are in Jamaica now.

However, (if it hasn't already been done) having a look at what was done in New York might shed some additional light on the alarming and spiralling violence problem or might influence some of its solutions.

Resume hanging

Saddam Hussein was hanged for the crimes he committed. After the verdict was passed and he was sentenced, Saddam was quickly sent to the gallows.

In our society, those who are handing out the guns and are a part of the corruption in this country, are they being caught and brought to justice like Saddam?

I am calling upon the Government of Jamaica to expedite the resumption of capital punishment before these vicious bastards, these wretched savages kill off the whole nation. Let them feel the deadly sting of death.
