They came from far and near, from home and abroad, from country and town, to celebrate the work and contribution to nation-building of citizens of of Jamaica. And it was a wonderful morning of cheers and standing ovations for the smartly-attired recipients. All religious persuasions were represented at the annual Heores Day awads ceremony held at the National Indoor Sports Centre and we caught Khalid Legare, his wife Colein Legare (right) and their friend Florette Lawrence, who came to support their loved one from St. Ann.
