Good show, but...One cannot help noticing that there has been some beautification work done at the entrance of the Bustamante Children's Hospital on Arthur Wint Drive.
The flower beds have been rejuvenated, railings and signs painted and the area really cleaned up. It looks so much better, but could the relevant authorities see that the large accumulation of garbage and leaves that are housed in the bus stop (the one on the same side of the road as the entrance) be removed on a daily basis?
It looks terrible and blemishes the otherwise excellent beautification efforts of the property, or perhaps I am the only one who notices this mess on my daily commute?

CorrectionThe report on July 7 of the swearing-in ceremony for the new president of the Court of Appeal, Mr. Justice Seymour Panton, C.D.O.J., stated in error that at 35 years old he was the youngest Supreme Court Judge. This is not so.
The youngest Supreme Court judge in the history of the Jamaican Judiciary is the former president of the Court of Appeal and retired Chief Justice, Mr. Edward Zacca.
He was sworn in at age 33, after being appointed as a resident magistrate at age 27.

Customer serviceI recently had the pleasure of returning home for a family wedding, but was for the most part saddened to see that customer service is almost, but for a few bright spots, extinct in my beloved Jamaica.
After a few frustrating days of poor or no customer service, from airline, hotel, supermarket, to the man in the street, my faith was restored that all is not lost, when I met this wonderful young lady at Jamaica Money Market Brokers (JMMB) in May Pen.
I was visiting the institution with a family member when I observed Kadia Morgan in action. She is the true example of what good customer service is all about, and I hope the management of JMMB knows the kind of asset she is and treats her accordingly.
