Oh, my daahlings, what a fabulous week for partying! It's been raining parties like confetti and then some all week and will continue so way into the weekend. To begin with, luvlies, it's the age of Cancerians and dovecakes, they are celebrating in earnest and then some! Now, the only problem is a number of the invitations to these happening smasheronis come with the caveat, 'not for publication'. So, y'all know you are missing out on some of the juicy stuff here but for my word, what a lovely way to burn!
Johnny Hamilton's Caymanas Estate home was the centre of the avant garde party universe; Oliver Magnus and his then beloved Katie Darling were the preferred hosts, their croquet parties.
And, Howard Barton and his betrothed Nancy Kalb, (now Mrs. Barton) the high priest and priestess of chic; Kingsley Cooper commissioning Trafalgar Bay, and the place becoming party central for the beautiful people; and Robert MacMillan throwing them A-crowd smasheronis; has Kingston seen such fabulous partying!
Oh my word, my dears, from Kingston through to Negril, happy days are here again and the chic is simply whooping it up and then some!
Vacation stop
Well my dears, destination Jamaica continues to be the preferred vacation stop for the fab, the moneyed and the politicos as the buzz is come next week, former Republican Governor of the State of Florida and younger brother to U.S. President George Bush, Jeb Bush will be paying a visit to Jamaica, for a few days of rest and relaxation.
Also expected in Jamaica next week is head of the European delegation here in Kingston Ambassador (ret.) Gerd Jarchow and his Jamaican wife, the lovely Mara Mandara Jarchow.
The couple will be in Jamaica, catching up with old friends fresh from their home in Brussels where they played hosts to Vinay Walia, who is currently winding down his annual European holidays.
And speaking of Europe, it was a European birthday celebration for the oh-so-fab Louise Valle as she and hubby Claudio jetted off to Europe to celebrate her July 1 birthday, with stops in London, Paris and the beloved Rome.
Then, it's all systems go this weekend for the much-anticipated wedding of the daughter of mega-wealthy Jamaican-born Canadian multimillionaire Ray Chang, the lovely Brigette Chang, to her beau Anthony Addorisio.
My daahlings, the wedding will be at that fabulous enclave of privilege and testament to the very acme of fabulous living - the multi-award-winning Round Hill Villas and Hotel, on the outskirts of Montego Bay.
Andkudos here to its long serving general manager, Josef Forstmayr, on being voted the Caribbean Hotelier of the Year by his peers!
Anyway, my daahlings, the affair promises to be a study in fabness with guests jetting in from all over the world for the nuptials.
And speaking of the lovely Brigette Chang, congratulations are in order and are extended to her aunt, Kingston's reigning social empress and entrepreneur Thalia Lyn, and Ryland Campbell - both being named Businesswoman and Businessman of the Year by Florida International University. Simply put, way to go!
And warm felicitations to Mendel Thompson and his fiancée, the lovely Nasolo Jacobs of the International Labour Organisation, who will tie the marital knot on July 28.
Birthday celebrations

Then, my daahlings, speaking of the fabulous, the well-to-do and the mega-wealthy, with some of these naturally being Cancerians, today hotel tycoon, the mega-wealthy and high-flying Gordon 'Butch' Stewart celebrates his birthday.
The party to mark the occasion, however, is all very 'hush-hush', but should unfold over the weekend, with the word being his beloved daughter Jamie Stewart McConnell is the designated party-planner for this one, so guests can and should expect a blast.
And, while the erstwhile Butch Stewart will be celebrating his birthday over the weekend, security conglomateur Kenny Benjamin, who actually celebrates his birthday on Sunday July 8, will be partying up a storm later today, in a pre-birthday smasheroni, at his Guardsman Group headquarters.
And belated greetings to insurance industry giant R. Danny Williams, who celebrated Wednesday, July 4.
And with the trend for the season being either pre- or post-birthday celebrations, the lovely Dr. Sapphire Longmore did not disappoint as she too kept up with the trend.
The beauty, who actually celebrated her birthday on Monday July 2, threw asmart and chic little pool-splash and barbecue on Saturday to celebrate her special day and children, it was one fabulous fun-filled to-do and all that!
A merry do
My daahlings, none of the same-ole-same-ole standing around stuff here, as it simply was not that kind of a party.
Instead, it was all about forgetting the ego and job titles, professional and social assumed airs for a relaxed afternoon turned night, way up in the St. Andrew hills, the flickering lights of the city, providing a fabulous backdrop for the do, as friends and family got together to make merry and then some!
Precious angels, it was all that and then some with the discovery of the party being Bacardi Apple mixed with pineapple juice. Oh my word, what a treat! Oh honeys, the Shelly-Ann Daley concoction went over like a house on fire and even having the most abstemious of drinkers indulging in the find!
My daahlings, DJ Archie knows his music! He also knows his parties! And he most certainly knows how to set the groove and the mood with his music, and pumpkin-pies, he did all of that and more last Saturday at The Knole in Stony Hill.
And so it was, that in between sips and spills, a nibble here and a splash there, there was no escaping the happening music and honeychiles, it made for one great vibe.

With the beauty's dad, Chapman Longmore Sr., leading the charge, her sibling, Dr. Chapman Longmore Jr and his companion Bridgette Welds, out and her beau EU official Alex Dropinski joining the fray, it was party heaven all the way.

And luvs, the partying continues!
