Meadowbrook seek first crown
published: Thursday | July 5, 2007

MEADOWBROOK HIGH will seek their first hold on the Jamaica Amateur Softball Association's Junior schoolgirls' title while Pembroke Hall goes in search of their second championship in just two league appearances when they meet in today's final of the competition at Up Park Camp in Kingston.

Pembroke Hall won the inaugural staging of the competition back in 2003 and are expected to repeat the feat after a three-year absence from the tournament. The community-based school ensured a new team would be crowned this season when they defeated defending champions Dinthill Technical 16-11 in their semi-final.

Red Hills Road-based Meadowbrook were fortunate to have their place in the final without pitching a ball in semi-final action. They capitalised on St. Hugh's' tardiness in showing up for their semi-final.
