Tough going for Harbour View Lakers
published: Sunday | July 1, 2007

HARBOUR VIEW Lakers lost their fourth game of the season without even putting up a fight on Thursday when they forfeited their game against Runnin' Rebels in the KFC National Basketball League.

This was from a team that needs all the points it can get as the Lakers seem to have a tough season ahead of them during their transition period from one of the top six teams to early relegation favourites.

They face Urban Knights this evening, a game sure to compound their problems as the Knights haven't shown any signs of losing to a struggling team as they have won their last four games.

Harbour View, who had only four players prepared at the start of the game on Thursday, have lost to Arnett Gardens, St. George's Slayers, Majesty Gardens and Runnin' Rebels.

Like Harbour View, Link-Up All-Stars have a 0-4 record and have been struggling despite having basically the same squad that was one win away from making it to the final last year. Leighton Meeks has been the consistent scorer but is receiving little support.

Defending champs Slayers, who are 4-1, should be looking for their fifth win when they face Link-Up.
