  • Gleaner hold off JETS

    Hosts The Gleaner defeated archrivals Jamaica Electrical Company (JETS) 139-132 in their Business House Division One domino encounter on Friday evening.

    In a closely contested game, The Gleaner, led by the likes of Courtney Burke, Omar McCurdy, Leroy Cooper and Michael Leighton, helped the hosts to a 67-64 lead at half-time and extended the lead by four points in the final period.

    In the evening's other games, Tastee beat BoJ 142-136 and Air Jamaica stopped LoJ 150-138.

  • Volleyball clashes continue today

    Leaders Edna Manley will face The Gleaner in today's feature game of the Reggae Jammin Business House Volleyball competition at the University of West Indies (UWI) Bowl starting at 10:00 a.m. In the other morning game, National Water Commission (NWC) tackle Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) at 11:00 a.m. In the afternoon session, Edna Manley oppose UWI at 1:00 p.m., NWC face The Gleaner at 2:00 p.m. and Bank of Jamaica (BoJ) battle JUTC at 3:00 p.m.

  • Blue Cross take on JCF

    The Business House Open League netball competition continues on Tuesday and Thursday at the Leila Robinson Courts with a full slate of matches.

    In Tuesday's action, starting at 5:45 p.m., Blue Cross tackle Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF), National Housing Trust (NHT) oppose Lascelles, Jamaica Money Market Brokers (JMMB) face Jamaica Public Service (JPS) and STATIN meet CBC.

    At 6:30 p.m., Heart Trust face General Accident, Tropicair battle Cool and Guardian Life tackle Maritime.

    In Thursday's action, which also starts at 5:45 p.m., Blue Cross face JBDC, VM Group tackle Lasco and JCF meet Scotia 'B'. At 6:45 p.m., Kraft oppose NCB 'A', Grace await Jamaica Broilers and Cool battle Sugar Company.

    In action from last week, GraceKennedy beat BoJ 15-13, Jamaica Infrastructure Operators stopped NEM Insurance 18-6, STATIN defeated FirstCaribbean International Bank 20-7, Digicel whipped NCB 'B'24-4, Air Jamaica thrashed Lasco 32-1, ATL Group got by Courts 14-10 and NHT whipped JMMB 39-7.

  • Football action heats up tomorrow

    The Kingston and St. Andrew Football Association (KSAFA) Business House Division One competition continues tomorrow with two matches.

    Defending champions NWC entertain The Gleaner at Mona playfield and Shipping Association of Jamaica host Carib Cement at Boys' Town. Both matches will start at 4:00 p.m.

    In last week's Division One matches, Carib Cement beat UWI 3-1, Shipping Association and The Gleaner played to an exciting 3-3 draw and Bank of Nova Scotia (BNS) beat Jamaica National Building Society (JNBS) 3-0.

    In Division Two, Supreme Ventures beat Wisynco 4-2, Petrojam defeated Wray and Nephew 3-1 and JUTC and Cable and Wireless played to a 0-0 draw.

  • Three-on-three basketball Wednesday

    The Business House Three On Three basketball competition continues on Wednesday at the National Stadium courts with a full slate of matches starting at 6:00 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. respectively.

    At 6:00 p.m., Grace Kennedy Remittance Service tackle Aerotel, H.D. Hopwood host Asylum, BOJ face Accent, E-Services Group battle NCB Keycard Biz and Mega Mart oppose LOJ.

    At 6:45 p.m., Police tackle The Gleaner, Bars To Go await National Land Agency, Continental Baking oppose NCB E-Link and UDC battle Ministry of Education.
