J$ payment for Canadian visa fees to increase
published: Friday | June 29, 2007

The Canadian High Commission says that, effective Monday, July 2, its Jamaican dollar visa fees will be increased for all services provided by the immigration section.

"For persons wishing to pay Jamaican dollars, the new fees are J$4,875 for single-entry, J$9,750 for multiple-entry visa applications and J$26,000 for a family of three or more," the high commission said. "The Canadian dollar fees, which must be an exact amount, remains unchanged. Processing fees are non-refundable."

According to the high commission, the modification in the fee schedule is due to exchange rate changes.
