Who is the father?1. It was the only talk around town sometime ago and, since the elevation of one of the parties, the argument has resurfaced. Now, if you believe the argument, it goes like this: when the duly wedded husband found out that he was not the legal father of the child born to them, he quietly ended the marriage. Now, the talk is that the academically inclined one is really the father.
Spin-doctors at work
2. Spin-doctors should take care that their public pronouncements are in keeping with those for whom they are spinning. It is a case as the old saying goes: If fish come from river bottom and say shark down there, then you should believe the fish! So, if those who stand to benefit from an act of omission say it was so, no amount of spinning can undo the claim. And, if the principal is thumping his chest and exclaiming, "Not over my dead body", then it is difficult to put any different spin on his own pronouncement.

Dozens of letters

The jet again!
9. Who really owns the jet?
Leave the women!
10. The glaring double standard is obvious when it comes to women in politics, or those trying to enter representational politics. Case in point - the chorus of naysayers questioning the intelligence and or capacity of Lisa Hanna; the scathing attacks on Mrs. Simpson Miller, as against the loud and damning silence that accompanies the selection of some men known to have serious questions about their character.
