Patterson to deliver lecture in New York
published: Wednesday | June 20, 2007

Former Prime Minister P.J. Patterson has been selected to deliver the fourth annual lecture organised by the Caribbean International Network (CIN), in New York.

The CIN Caribbean Lecture Series showcases an outstanding personality who has made a significant contribution to the political, economic and social advancement of the Caribbean region.

The lecture will be held at the notable Schomburg Centre for Research in Black Culture, in Harlem, New York, on Saturday, November 3. The Schomburg is one of America's leading repositories of books and artefacts on the global African experience.

Past presenters have included Professor Rex Nettleford and another former Jamaican Prime Minister, Edward Seaga, who delivered last year's lecture on 'The Folk Roots of Jamaican Cultural Identity'.
