The Editor, Sir:I take strong issue with the way Spanish Ambassador Jesús Silva has framed issues of compliance in the media and believe he ought to exercise more care in his public statements and curb what seems to be arrogance based on his country's wealth....

Tap water is safe, cheaper

The Editor, Sir: I am glad to see that Dr.Sheila Campbell-Forrester, chief medical officer of health, has addressed problems related to drinking water (bottled and from the tap) as reported in The Gleaner of June 8 (Page A3). I would like to discuss some related issues...

The Editor, Sir: I attended the performance of Curfew by the ASHE group recently. It was a shot of class (no pun intended), since the piece is about inner-city gun violence. Congratulations to ASHE but, of course, to one Michael Holgate providing all the ingredients of book....
