Swashbuckling glass thrower
published: Thursday | May 31, 2007

Keira Knightley likes to smash glasses when she is angry.

The Pirates of the Caribbean star says having a glass-throwing tantrum calms her down when she is upset.

Keira believes she inherited her raging temper from her father, actor Will Knightley.

She told Hello! magazine: "I am like my father. I have 'the Knightley streak'. He gets angry at inanimate objects. I find it therapeutic to throw glasses even if you have to spend the rest of the night on your hands and knees collecting pieces of glass.

"Whether you are frustrated, sad or drunk, it works. It takes the anger away."

Keira, 22, also admits she is "a bit of a drama queen" and feels constantly insecure.

The actress - who recently confessed to being envious of The Gossip singer Beth Ditto's full figure - said: "Look up insecurity in the dictionary, 'For insecurity, see Keira Knightley.'
