World Bank/UN study of crime in the Caribbean

There are some revealing findings from the recent World Bank/United Nations study on crime in the Caribbean that should allow us to see our problems more clearly.The predominantly held view has been that crime is a result of poverty.

The problem with sex

"Nothing is foolproof to prevent a fling here and there, because a man or a woman who desires to do so will do it.

What really matters to us?

We want to be happy, and we are going to die. That is all we really know about the human condition. Everything else is speculation.

If we should find oil, then what?

Over the last three months, the Government has been hinting at the possibility of oil in the territorial waters of Jamaica.
