Estate villas, elegant homes, breath-taking vistas and resort accommodations of the highest quality? Sounds like a plan.
Harmony Cove, the picturesque piece of paradise-to-be in Trelawny is on the brink of becoming a reality. On Tuesday evening, members of the Tavistock Group, the international private investors overseeing the close to US$3 billion development project, were fted at a reception. So this was the perfect opportunity for the Tavistock principals to meet with some of the local contingent as they seek to make Harmony Cove the premier high-end tourist destination in the island. The group of bigwigs were the guests of Development Minister Donald Buchanan.
Celebrating the latest developments
Members of the tourist, finance and political sectors (some actually based in the west) came to the lawns of Jamaica House to celebrate the latest developments. Sure, some logistics might have been touched on, but really the evening was all about enjoying some Jamaican hospitality. To help the ambience, local band Clue performed some sweet melodies, Jamaican and foreign, to entertain the guests.
Tavistock is a global, private investment company that was founded 30 years ago. The group owns diverse holdings in commercial and residential real estate, financial services, as well as oil and gas investments.
Guests at this little soire included: Desmond Leaky, Frank Pringle, Joseph A. Matalon, Dr. Carlton Davis, Milton Brady, NHT's Robert Gregory, Earl Samuels and Alva Anderson, Jackie DaCosta, Chris and Nicola Stone, Kirk Taylor, Dr. Horace Chang, Couples CEO Glenn Lawrence, Granville Newell and Maxie Bell.
