Contrary view on Rastas

The Editor, Sir:

For a second, I thought I had managed to inadvertently source The Gleaner's Archives dating back to something written in 1955, when I read Dr. Wendel Abel's piece, "I am What I think - When Your Child Becomes a Rasta". Then I realised, with deep sadness, that the piece was in fact written a few days ago.

His advice to panicked parents will not help them if they, like him, continue to treat this complex religion as a passing fancy, an opportunity for youthful rebellion and a good excuse to smoke weed freely. Thankfully, there are books that can be read that will offer a less ignorant view. Indeed, a crash course in the psalms of Bob Marley would be equally useful.
