Vox Pop - How do you think the West Indies will do against England?
published: Saturday | May 12, 2007

From left, Brown, Brown, Richards, Hart, Laylor and Pinnock

  • Milton Brown

I think the West Indies will do well against England and beat them. I think that we can beat them without Brian Lara.

  • Christine Brown

I am sure they are going to do well. I think that they are going to try to perform without a Brian Lara on the team. They are going to try to show that they can perform and play good cricket.

  • Steadman Richards

I think that the West Indies will do well against England. I say this because I am a Jamaican so we have to support the Jamaicans on the team.

  • Bernard Hart

After their performance in the World Cup, I give them a slim chance. I have to see them win at least three games before I can have confidence in them again. I think that we can perform without Lara because he was a good player and not a good leader.

  • Dwight Laylor

I think that the West Indies will do well against England because we just barely lost to England in the World Cup and if the early set of batsmen did perform, England could not have beaten us, so I still have confidence in them.

  • Leslie Pinnock

Yes, I am sure that the West Indies will do well against England. Not because Lara is not there, I think that we still have players there who can still beat the ball. We just have to give them a chance.
