Looping art and skill
Complementing the world of painters, Jamaicans over the Easter weekend demonstrated other artistic abilities.

'Ahead of time'

Under a canopy of flying kites, The Gleaner team drove to the grounds of Harmony Hall where the annual Easter craft fair titled 'Ahead of Time' was kept, convincing of exceptional skill.

Creating space for the gifted

When June and Tony Wong conceived the Liguanea Festival of Fine Art & Photography four years ago, a tiny seed was planted, bringing reality to the well-known 14th century proverb 'Great oaks from little acorns grow'.

Literary arts - 'Mrs Stevenson'

It was going to be the social event of the season, they said: a veritable Glamorama.

'The Rose Slip'

THE ROSE SLIP, which played recently at The Edna Manley School of Drama, was written by Trinidadian Douglas Archibald in 1962.
