The Editor, Sir: April 1, 2007 was April fool's day and it is understood from the report in the paper that Mike Henry a Jamaican Member of Parliament, is seeking a pay rise. Removing GCT from legal fees
The Editor, Sir: Having read on the front page of The Gleaner of March 28, "Remove GCT on legal fees for criminal cases, "K.D. Knight," I find it very strange that Mr. Knight, an attorney-at-law, is now calling on the Government to remove the General Consumption Tax on legal fees for criminal cases, describing it as oppressive.
