Males are raped too
published: Monday | February 19, 2007

The Editor, Sir:

I think what they need to realise in Jamaica is that not only women get raped, but also men and little boys. The issue at hand is that rape should not be tolerated whether it is male or female, boy or girl. Rape is rape.

There have been instances where men have been raped but they are too ashamed to speak up. Whether they want to call it rape for men or buggery, it is still the same and the same punishment given to the men who rape women is the same punishment that should be given to the men who rape other men.

Here in New York, there are women who actually tie up men and rape them. I think they should reconsider what they are doing.

I am, etc.,
