Many thanks to our counsellors
published: Monday | February 19, 2007

The Editor, Sir:

We wish to thank the guidance counsellors who attended a reception held for them by our organisation, Spanish Town Citizens Against Gun Violence, at 2 Hanover Street, Spanish Town on February 13, 2007. The counsellors were all from the area schools, both primary and high. They wrote poems on 'The Heart of a Child' and read them to the audience.

It is good to be able to continue our association with the schools of the area, both principals, teachers, guidance counsellors, staff and students. Just know our doors are always open to you, to share, to love and to be informed. Again, we thank you for your excellent attendance and look forward to continuing to invest in the lives of the children of our beautiful and fabulous town through education and the pursuit of peace.

And of course our thanks also go to Justice Daphne Clayton for delivering her encouraging and inspiring words to the audience.

I am etc.,

ROSEMARIE GREENE
