Faster course
Race director for the Grand Prix Series, Alfred Francis, says, "This new course, which begins at the Goodyear Oval, is much faster than last year's course that began at White Horses, and I'm sure that the 16 minutes, 14 seconds performed by series' leader Talbert and 19 minutes, 28 seconds by Goule, leader in the female category, will be improved this year."
Francis also noted that, "Upliftment Jamaica is a non-profit organisation working towards the development of a positive lifestyle in the parish of St. Thomas. The 5K run is just one of the many lifestyle enhancement programmes featured on its annual calendar."
