Farmers could pay more for farm feeds
Farmers could be asked to pay higher prices for animal feed as the price of corn, which is the main ingredient used to manufacture the product, spirals out of control in the United States.

Better roads could lead to higher earnings

Spanish Town, St. Catherine: President of the Jamaica Agricultural Society (JAS), Senator Norman Grant said the country could earn millions more from agriculture if more farm roads were in better conditions.

Black River, St. Elizabeth: The operators of the newly established flavour extraction plant are assuring that farmers will benefit from the operation of the facility, which is expected to use large quantities of fresh fruits and vegetables.


Poultry rearers benefit from training exercise

May Pen, Clarendon: Some 20 small poultry farmers from Clarendon participated in a poultry rearing training exercise at the Jamaica Agricultural Society (JAS) office in Denbigh recently.
