Overseas artistes go 'lowcal'
Recently, international stars, especially from the United States, have been coming to Jamaica more frequently, making special appearances on stage shows or shooting music videos for songs on which they have collaborated with Jamaican performers.

J'can comedians crack up abroad

"Tek bad tings mek joke" can be regarded as a Caribbean motto. Notwithstanding the dilapidated state of government, rampant crime and other problems, Jamaica and other Caribbean countries have a thriving comedy scene, making jokes from the region's ills.

'Black Kissinger' filmmakers go 'siteseeing'

In creating a film location isn't everything, but it's a lot. You can film the real thing or you can fake it, whether it is to create Los Angeles in South Africa, a faraway world in New Zealand or the Port Royal of yore in the Grenadines.

Jerry D leaves radio 'vibeless'

He is known as the Vibemaster Jerry D and he has been working on radio for more than a decade.

No source of faint echoes

'Him follow fashion eeh?' immediately comes to mind when an artiste who sounds like someone who came before is heard for the first time.

Sound reason to sound alike

There are artistes who embrace the fact that they sound like another performer and say it has been working in their favour. One such person is Hitlist.
