JonBenet 'murderer' wants Depp to play him in a movie
published: Thursday | August 31, 2006

( L - R ) Karr and Depp

The man who claims he killed JonBenet Ramsey wants Johnny Depp to play him in a movie.

Former teacher John Mark Karr also believes the film about the murder of the Colorado beauty queen would make 'a billion dollars'.

The bizarre claims came from Karr during a series of email and phone conversations with Michael Tracey, a journalism professor at the University of Colorado, in Boulder.

Karr, 41, was extradited to the United States earlier this month after confessing to JonBenét's murder.

He was charged with the killing. However, police - who now believe Karr was at home with his family at the time of the fatal attack - later dropped the charges after DNA samples from the suspect and the crime scene didn't match.

Karr was then rearrested for child pornography charges dating back to 2001.

Johnny Depp's spokespeople have yet to comment on Karr's wish.
