The body of reggae icon, lead vocalist and songwriter, Joseph 'Culture' Hill arrived from Berlin, Germany on Monday. The star, who collapsed and died shortly after a performance in Germany will be given an official funeral on Saturday, September 9.

Plans are already in place for what can be classified as a "nine-night" and a fitting tribute to celebrate the work of the reggae great. The concert, dubbed 'Night of Strictly Culture', is slated to take place at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre on September 8.

The planning of the funeral is being spearheaded by some of the key players in the industry such as Junior Lincoln, Dennis Wright, Desi Young, Lloyd Evans, Lois Grant and Andrea Davis.

Hill started out in the early '70s as a percussionist for Soul Defenders and then went to record his first single, Picture On The Wall. He later added hits such as Natty Never Get Weary, The International Herb, This Train, Love Shines Bright, and Trod On.
