LETTER OF THE DAY - Reggae Boyz not ready
THE EDITOR, Sir: I AM not a Jamaican by birth but my parents are and so I find myself writing out of disappointment with the recent Jamaican football tour. Apart from the dismal match results, I found the additional shenanigans caused me just as much...

Palace misses the boat
THE EDITOR, Sir: I AM rather disappointed that Melanie Graham, the representative from Palace Amusement would lay the blame for the decline in attendance at her theatres on the 'piracy' bogeyman.

Slackness abounds
THE EDITOR, Sir: I WISH to add my voice to Kevin O'Brien Chang's article in your publication of Sunday June 4, 2006 entitled 'Welcome to the isle of slackness'. I agree that we need to revamp our image of being a promiscuous, permissive society....

Sufferer mentality
THE EDITOR, Sir: I AM glad that the Government has finally established its squatter unit, but I do believe it is too late. Squatters in this country believe that they have a right to live on people's land because they are 'sufferers'.

Firing Paulwell is not the answer
THE EDITOR, Sir: IT HAS become fashionable and easy to pick a face in the front row of the choir then blame that one person for that badly off-key tune because he might be visibly the most exuberant of all. The fact is that all may be tone deaf.
