Portland Jerk Festival

Sunday, July 2, at the Boston Playfield, Portland. Anything that can be jerked will be jerked. The festival has grown in popularity for its jerk lobster, pork and crab. Watch these pages for news on overseas participants in this popular event.

Yallahs Chicken Festival

Sunday, July 30 at the Phillipsfield Complex, Yallahs, St. Thomas. A wide variety of chicken dishes from vendors across Jamaica will be showcased. Cultural and musical entertainment is to be provided by Byron Lee and the Dragonnaires, Noddy Virtue and Christopher Martin.
