St Lucia officials welcome Air Jamaica's return
published: Friday | January 6, 2006

CASTRIES, ST. LUCIA (CMC):

Tourism officials in St. Lucia have started preparations to welcome the return of Air Jamaica.

Minister of Tourism, Phillip J. Pierre, said the non-stop service out of New York would provide much-needed airlift out of the tri-state area - St. Lucia's largest source market on the eastern seaboard.

Air Jamaica, which was forced to drop St. Lucia from its schedule last year March because of ongoing financial woes, will return here from February 23 three times a week, giving the island its first non-stop service out of New York.
