Big Cash Pot feature returns
published: Tuesday | November 2, 2004

RACE NUMBER two in the lucrative Cash Pot/TOBA Yearling Sales series for native bred maiden two-year-olds takes place at Caymanas Park this Saturday and sponsors Supreme Ventures look ready to go the extra mile to ensure an exciting day of racing.

Supreme Ventures will be giving patrons a chance to win prizes of $30,000 each. In the day's major off the track promotions, racing fans at Caymanas Park who purchase Pick-3 tickets for $300 or more will get three chances to spin the Wheel of Fortune for prizes, as well as an entry coupon to win one of the $30,000 prizes. The prizes will be drawn at the track after the feature race of the day.

HONOURING WINNING GROOMS

According to Sonia Davidson, corporate and customer service manager of Supreme Ventures "we will also be honouring all the winning grooms on the day. Each groom will receive a special gift package from us during the presentations in the winners' enclosure."

The feature Pick-3 Super Challenge Trophy race over 1100 metres, which offers a total purse of $565,000, should see the return of the exciting JACK SPARROW, who was narrowly beaten by the front running JACK BE GOOD in the first race in the series some weeks ago, this after missing the break.

The Philip Feanny-trained JACK SPARROW has been burning up the track at exercise since, galloping five furlongs out of the straight in 58.3, the first four in an eye popping 45.2.

JACK SPARROW will more than likely use Saturday's race as a stepping stone to the November 13 Red Stripe 2-y-o Breeders' Stakes over 1400 metres where he will come face to face with either KAMIR or COLTRANE, two ultra-talented colts from the stables of top two-year-old trainer, Richard Azan.
