Four horses claimed

ONLY FOUR horses were claimed at Caymanas Park on Saturday, among them MEDICAL ACCOUNT who won the fourth at odds of 5-2.

The 4-y-o gelding was claimed from Barrington Rambally for $160,000 by trainer Norman Rose on behalf of SAC. Also claimed in the same race was the disappointing favourite LONG LONG JOURNEY, who finished a well-beaten sixth after walking out of the starting gate.

The 4-y-o grey filly, who was previously trained by Percy Hussey, was picked up for $170,000 by trainer Patrick Fong on behalf of Caroline and Victor Tennant.

Two remaining claims came in the closing straight five race won by the 50-1 outsider BLACKMOUTH.

Highly fancied LA RUDE, who finished second, was claimed for $140,000 by trainer Lawrence Freemantle for the Clarendonian. And fifth past the post GO ON GO ON went to trainer Enos Brown for U'N'Me, also for $140,000.

Last Wednesday's midweek programme saw three horses changing hands. These were the beaten favourite GALAXY GIRL in the third race, the 4-y-o filly going to owner/trainer Dennis Lee for $260,000, while the three-year-olds DEPUTY SHERIFF and YAHABIBI both went for $210,000 to trainers Richie Todd for OPM Racing Stables and Ryan Darby on behalf of O'Shaun Connection, respectively.
