Enfield Juno Pen road in need of repair
published: Friday | August 27, 2004

THE EDITOR, Sir:

IT IS with deep distress that I use your medium to bring to the attention of the National Works Agency (NWA) the deplorable condition of the middle of the Enfield Juno Pen main road.

After strong representation by the Member of Parliament Harry Douglas a year or so ago, the first three miles from the Annotto Bay to Port Antonio main road T junction into Ginniemoore was patched out. Thereafter, the end from 41 to Big Bridge was also patched out. Between Ginniemoore and Big Bridge Enfield and 41 to Mount Joseph, we were advised was to be done sometime later.

As said before, it is over a year that the condition of this main road has been in this state. This road is heavily used by the general public and is in desperate need of the attention of Mr. Ivan Anderson and his NWA team.

On behalf of the citizens of the several districts, we ask that repairs be done sooner than later to facilitate this farming community which has to take its goods to market on a daily basis.

I am, etc.,

ANTHONY GUTZMORE

Juno Pen, Enfield P.O.

St. Mary
