Crash kills three
published: Sunday | June 27, 2004

WESTERN BUREAU:

THREE PERSONS were killed in a motor vehicle accident along the Bogue Gate main road in Trelawny yesterday morning.

They have been identified as Frank Sisco, also known as Greg, 30; Garth Davies, also known as 'Shot', 26; and Dalton O'niel Jacobs, also known as 'Cobbler', 33.

Reports from the police indicate that around 9:00 a.m., the three men were travelling in a blue Nissan motor car, registered 0678 EC, in the direction of Falmouth from Montego Bay.

Upon reaching a section of the main road, the Nissan attempted to overtake a line of traffic and swerved into the path of a white Mitsubishi truck, driven by Eli Gladstone Smith of Ramble, Hanover. All three died on the spot and were freed from the wreckage by firemen of the Falmouth Fire Service. Meanwhile, two occupants of the truck were taken to the Falmouth hospital where they were treated and released.

Rosemary Jacobs, sister of Dalton Jacobs, said she learnt of her brother's death yesterday morning when she called his cell phone. "The person who answered told me there was an accident and that the owner of the phone was involved", she told The Sunday Gleaner. "The person told me that I must come to the Falmouth Police Station and make a report. From the time I heard that I knew something was not right so I just started crying."
