THE EDITOR, Sir:FATHER'S DAY is not as much publicised as Mother's Day and many dads complain about this.
This past Father's Day, however, was so much different from the others because of KOOL 97FM.
Children were asked to call in and nominate their fathers. Ten dads were chosen. KOOL 97FM treated these dads and whoever accompanied them for the entire day. There were also a lot of prizes and surprises for the Dads. The children got an entire day to bond more with their fathers.
Some fathers were even surprised that their child/children had nominated them.
I would like to use this medium to thank KOOL 97FM and their sponsors for making 10 dads have a wonderful and special Fathers Day on Sunday, June 20, 2004 a day they will never forget and one that will be talked about for years to come.
