Congrats, officers!

THE EDITOR, Sir:

PLEASE ALLOW me this opportunity to congratulate four police officers from the Spanish Town Police Station. They are officers Cassel, Beckford, Taylor and Anderson who worked on the night of Friday, October 24, 2003, on patrol duty. I would also like to congratulate the female police officer who sent out the radio message, she was very efficient.

My car was stolen on the 24/10/03 at approximately 10:00 p.m. on the Bernard Lodge main road by gunmen who ordered the driver out. The incident was reported to the Spanish Town Police Station, and with very quick response from the lawmen the car was spotted in Spanish Town. The police gave chase and the car was abandoned as the gunmen fled. The police then recovered it and it was towed to the police station in Spanish Town as the gunmen fled with the keys.

The lawmen then visited my house to assure me that the vehicle was recovered and everything was okay. It is clear that we have generous, loyal, dedicated and efficient policemen and women in the force.
